Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everyone using ClearCut API: the website, dashboard and API. It is part of our Terms of Service.

Content you must not process

• Child sexual abuse material, or any sexualized content involving minors. We report it to the authorities.
• Intimate or sexual images of anyone without their consent, including "nudified" or manipulated images.
• Content designed to deceive or defraud, such as fake documents or IDs, impersonation, or deepfakes that misrepresent a real person in a harmful way.
• Content that infringes intellectual property or privacy, including removing watermarks or credits from images you don't have the rights to.
• Content that promotes terrorism or violent extremism, harasses or threatens people, or incites violence or hatred against protected groups.
• Anything illegal where you or we operate.

Using AI features

• Don't use AI suggestions or generated copy to make false or misleading product claims.
• Don't try to make AI features ignore their instructions, reveal hidden prompts or produce prohibited content.
• Label AI-generated imagery where the law or a platform's rules require it.

Using the Service and the API

• Don't share, sell or publish API keys, or let others use your account, except team members and the end customers of your own product when your plan allows it.
• Don't get around rate limits, credit checks, plan limits or security controls, for example by creating multiple free accounts.
• Don't probe, scan or attack the Service. Don't use image or video URLs to reach private networks or internal services. Don't upload malware or files crafted to exploit processing software.
• Don't overload the Service. Use webhooks or the documented polling intervals for long jobs, and back off on rate-limit errors.
• Don't scrape the website, or use the Service to build a competing background-removal product or dataset.

Security research

Found a vulnerability? Tell us at support@clearcutapi.com before disclosing it publicly, and avoid accessing other users' data. We won't pursue good-faith research that follows these rules.

Enforcement

We may remove content, limit features, revoke API keys, suspend or terminate accounts, and report illegal activity to the authorities. Where it is appropriate and lawful, we will tell you and give you a chance to respond.
